Trouble
I've tried burning the Utopia Boot Disc many times with Discjuggler and Nero and with different CDs, but to no avail. I then learned that newer DCs had to have a data/data formal for the CD. So I followed the intstructions on this page. I think I did step 6 right where it told me to extract the fixed iso using ISObuster to the folder with the tools (when I did it there was a folder with 3 .txt files in it). I got stuck on step 8 where I was to make an iso image. It told me to do the following:--- Make an ISO with the following command:
mkisofs -C 0,0 -V "Utopia BootCD v1.1" -l -o BOOTCD.ISO DIR (where "DIR" is where you extracted your fixed ISO. Take the ISO that "mkisofs" produces and put it into the directory where you have Bin2Boot. ---- I tried typing this at the dos prompt and it told me the command 'mkisofs' wasn't recognized as an internal or external command. So I tried the command in ISOfix and bin2boot but I still don't have the new ISO. I'm getting frusterated, can anyone help me? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

You have to place mkisofs.exe in your working directory, otherwise, DOS won't find it. It you're trying to make your iso in (say) "C:\SELFBOOT", you must copy mkisofs.exe in "C:\SELFBOOT".
After that, when you type your dos command, you must be in the right directory. To change your current directory, type "CD newdir" (for example, if you're in "C`\>", you must type "CD SELFBOOT"). Good old MSDOS basics.

Thanks for the info. The only problem is I didn't have the mkisofs.exe file on my computer so I went to download it but it doesn't work. There's some problem with it. Do you know what I should do?
