Xp is screwed, Clonecd done it?
Hey all I'm pretty new here.... infact I just registered
anyways, I've had an older version of clonecd sitting on my computer for some time, so I decided to boot it up and give it a shot... well, it didn't seem to work well, infact, it crashed completely, so I restarted and just uninstalled it.... weirdest thing is while I had clonecd installed, my Windows XP was running like crap, and now it continues to run like crap (except not as bad)... programs seem to run slower, my music craps up when I do just about anything... a friend of mine told me that older versions of clonecd tend to screw up windows, I'm just wondering if there's an alternative to formatting, such as a fix or something? please help anyone, thanks. |

Can't see Clone causing this problem with your O/S.
Think you may have another prob, you state that XP has always been poor, give specs of your machine and we may be able to help. cheers m8

Try renaming the following three files from the folder
\%windir%\system32\drivers\ if present: ElbyCDFL.sys ElbyCDIO.sys ElbyVCD.sys Also, rename the amdfix.sys in the same folder. thebluegr |
