I had the same problem with the rar files for BF 1942. I too used winrar 3.x.
It drove me nuts as I downloaded the files from every link. I went to megagames and dled the .zip files and they worked. Hopefully it was some kind of fluke, as other 3.x rar files have worked fine recently. Special _Agent_
