Simple Magic3 problem.....help

First of all thanks for all your help. I have a neo key in my v5 and I play the cd backups all the time, so I know they are good. I use cdr win to back up all my cd games. I got my chip from modchip.ca.
I ordered 3 of them, and I have put another one in to replace it, and it does the exact same thing. It will play dvd movies, and dvd rips, psx backups and orig. The ONLY thing it will not boot is backups of my ps2 cd format games. I did a very clean 3 hour install, I thought maybe one of my points were wrong, so I put the second of my 3 chips in a buddies ps2, and I am having the exact same problem, wierd huh? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
