You are correct in that the A04/104 does not support DVD+R....
The speed in which your burner will burn is entirely (almost) dependant on the media.... If you only have 1X capable media, that is as fast as it will burn.. Same is true with the NEW A05.... It is 4X capable, but unless you have 4X capable media, it will not burn at that speed.... Quote:
The only problem with it, is that it is harder to read than the -R format. The DVD-R is much more compatible with older players. etc... Do not mistake the 2... They are entirely different.... Unless you have the new Sony DVD burner that supports both, you cannot burn a DVD+R in a DVD-R drive....
