Question about modchip/bios

Larger Bios won't be required, but may add useful features you want. If all you want to do is play back-ups, it doesn't really matter. Also, I strongly disagree with getting a no-solder mod. I would hold off for the X-ecuter - II like Quall said if you can't find a better homebrew, but do yourself a favor and have that banshee soldered firmly in place. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, someone can do it for you with a guarantee (insurance) for around $30 or less, well worth the price.
