Ripping ISOs
I apologize in advance for my ignorance in this matter.
I have several PSX games but no system (brother took it when he moved out). I've recently gotten the epsxe emulator though. What I need to know is how to rip ISOs. What program should I use to do it? Also, for any using the epsxe emulator, I noticed it has an option to read a game from the CDROM. Am I correct in assuming I could just put one of my PSX games in and load it up? And if so, does using that method work better than reading from an ISO, or vice versa? Last edited by LordOfTheShroom; 07-10-2002 at 11:23. |

it's usually always better to use a cd!
for ripping games use cdrwin for unprotected games and clonecd for protected ones! |

I have CDRWIN and CloneCD and I was unable to make a working ISO file out of my game cd. I was trying to do so cuz my cd-rom is super fast and for some reason doesn't play the sounds very well. (SFX are great, but character voices suck!) Perhaps you could give more detail on using clonecd? I saw the page on making copies at this site, but it goes on about adjusting read settings and such, but I couldn't find any options anywhere for adjusting any of the settings it mentions at all. I have the latest demo version dl'ed directly from the creator's website.
