Okay mate, here goes...

1.Ensure that all files (including hidden ones) are copied to a folder on your HD. Call the folder after your game!! Create a folder called "original game" and copy the original game.exe into it. You will need this to patch subsequent official updates onto as your decrypted version will not work with them.
2. Copy the game.exe, game.icd, and dplayer.dll to a separate folder called unsafedisc.
3. Run Unsafedisc and click on Decrypt Game button. At the prompt, click on the game.exe file that is in your folder called unsafedisc.
4. Depending upon the version of Safedisc, the decrypt process may take some time.
5. When it is finished you will be left with one or two new game.exe files.
6. Copy one at a time and replace the original game.exe in the game folder you created.
7.Run each one to see which one works.
8. When you've found it, you can burn all this to you CDR.

If you are still stuck e-mail me at crispeater**********com

Although I did not ask the question, I had always wondered since I have Unsafedisk. That was the best explanation of its use I have seen. Thanks to Crispy.

Mate, if there are no *.icd, or dplayer.dll files present then it ain't Safedisc version 1 (of which there are 4/5 variations) so Unsafedisc will not work.
What game are you trying to backup??
Have you used one of the protection detectors that you can downlaod from GCW??
