Just to confirm a speculation...
G'day, all!
I just stumbled upon this website selling a Messiah chip, and it said there's an additional function, which says, "PSX GAMES..........................................Scr een size corrected for both NTSC / PAL Consoles when playing import titles." If I'm guessing this right, then the screens for non-messiahs should be wonky when you run pal games on the machine. But this isn't so, since my friend's ps 2 machine works perfectly playing pal games on his US machine, and he told me his wasn't a Messiah mod when I asked him later. Or is it only the problem for playstation one games??? I'm planning to buy a premod ps 2 soon, but if this is true - about non-messiah chips wonking up pal playstation one games - then I might have to insist in getting a messiah-mod for my ps 2 from the shop, and not any other chip. Any opinions on this?
