DIVX for the Cube :-)

Yeah BIG news, the cube play's DIVX up to 640*480 at 20kbps

so its finally coming to light, it has bin in the pipeline for a while now.

i can see though that this might be exploited and films are going to start appearing on the system but whats the point unless you can burn and play you own downloaded movies - which will not happen!

besides dvds are much better in terms of quality and extras and most probally will be cheaper. most people now days have a player in their homes, hell even if they dont vhs is better (although not as long lasting) than divx.

the cube is a games console not a home entertainment system. to me it seems the ninty is getting worried that other platforms can play films and is starting to feel left out of the game.

these resources should be put into producing decent fun games not a medium for over priced, lower quality films.

other than that though good on factor 5 lets see some good results, although the cinematics (cg and filmed) in the last outing (rouge squadon) were spot on!!

well thats my opionion anyway

(sorry about the ramble above, it did not read the link before posting and then i was too lazy to delete the post LOL)
