No way of avoiding solder.
Glue is what you use to keep a bunch of wires stuck down onto one of the chips like the BIOS to stop them moving. This is in my PS2 Soldering Tips and in my Install Guides posted on www.ps2newz.net. But to be brutally frank, if you have to ask this question, then you should give the PS2 to a pro to install the chip as this is a difficult task.
