The only swap trick i've seen without a ar2 or modchip involves taking the whole thing apart, and lifting off the game and putting the backup on. This was when the PS2 first came out. I used to do the knife swap trick. My PS2 lasted for about 9 mo. I didn't use a knife per say, i used a credit card. I'm not stupid enough to stick sharp objects into $300 worth or electronics. That was only until my PS2 broke. I was trying to power up my laser(everything was taking forever to load) and it just stoped working. I'm going to be investing in a modchip around Christmas. It's going to be my x-mas present to myself. Plus the warranty on the PS2 just runs out on the 26th.
