Hi, I am very new to this too, but I saw that no one has replied so I thought I would post you a few lines. I have copied a dvd disk to vcd, it took me hours of reading from the internet and tons of downloading software to use, but I did it and made a good copy of a dvd movie, but that's the only one I did because it's not really worth the work it takes!! not to me anyway. Ok, first thing you need to do is to READ from the internet about how to do this because it can not be explained in a few words here at this forum. When you have read and downloaded some software to do the rip then you should post questions at the dvd copy forum. What I used was a rip pack called VCD galaxy dvd rip combopack which has 3 programs that are actually all you need to make aworking vcd movie. I don't remember where I got that pack from maybe at ####://www.dvdripguides.com
Anyway, the dec####g from dvd to avi can take over night which means leaving your pc on the whole night working for like 13 hours! Just search and read and you will master a VCD in a short time!
Good luck
