"purchased intercom wire, I strip the sheilding off the ends so the copper is showing. Is the type of wire ok for the job??? "

I guess as long as the wire is a shielded type and 22ga/32ga you should be alright. The pics i have seen all show the wire covered and not bare.

Anyway whats this about "glue drying"?
