new modchips?

Does anyone know of any new modchips coming out that will be no swap and maybe less wires and/or cheaper than current ones?

Most of the chips coming out now or simply messiah clones. Apple, magic 2, ect, are all based on messiah technology. Chips are getting cheaper and cheaper although use caution, you generally get what you pay for. There are clips to reduce the number of wires for some chips but not all, hopefully in the near future this will be resolved.

Most, if not all, of the no swap chips have 23 wires to solder....Because like Warlock said They are all just Messiah clones... To do everything that these mod chips do, require alot of connections.....Take the USB mod.....Yeah, you can play certain things.....BUT it takes a GS/AR2 and a swap, and you still cant play everything.......
As far as being cheaper....... Figure it like this..... Go out and buy 2-3 original games.....(You have just paid for a Messiah or a clone plus installation)
So they are REALLY not very expensive after all.....
AND if they get the clips finalized, it will be that much easier to install.....

What do you mean, get the chips finalized? I am sure I could solder the modchip but it seems like they are so fragile after that. For example, I modchiped my xbox with one of the first modchips with like 29 wires but I cant ever move my xbox otherwise wires might come lose and I will have to resolder them.
Thats teh sucky part about it for me.

If the wires come off just by moving it......Its not the chips fault....Its your solderings fault....
I said if they ever get the CLIPS finalized....Not chips.....
The CLIPS are supposed to make the mod chip almost like plug and play...You open up your PS2, unplug a ribbon, plug in the new ribbon to your chip and the board and your done...... Its a little more complicated than that, but you get the idea.... There has been talk, that when the CLIPS are done, it will only take about 10min to install a messiah...Of course that time doesn't include disassembly or reassembly.....
Thats ALOT better than 3-4 hours of soldering.....

I didnt mean to blame the modchip for falling off. I know it is because the soldering job but it is almost impossible to secure the wires to the xbox and keep them there while moving the xbox around. (Taking it on trips) The solder points are just to small to get to. Oh well guess i should just buy one of those no wire modchips that are out now. Thanks for the help.

The PS2 is the SAME way...... This is the reason professional installers charge what they do for a install.....

As far as the no wire mods.... Don't waste your time.... You would be better off taking the thing apart once in a while to fix a solder joint than to have a no wire mod......
