It seems you have a Software Problem ...

using

Toshiba DVD 1503 and
Plextor 24x
with
CloneCD (last Version)

Have made Backup Copys 1:1 with Standard Settings of

HEARTH OF WINTER
THRONE OF BAAL

and lots of normal Copies from NOT Protected CD's

using WinME
