hi thanks for that however i had read that and tried it with still the same probs - i am using a lite-on cdrw and also BTC dvd.

its intresting that GTA3 is protected the same way and I did this with no problems also NWN and warcraft 3 which i think are also sd2.

so i guess i have to conclude that they are dirty or scratched disks, but they are direct from shop and in a1 condition
