I also had this trouble
No way I could copy this game with either clonecd or fantomcd.
Got the impression that it was not going my way, until I found the cd-cops-emulator here at gamecopyworld. Just run it against original cd1 and replace original installed exe (fgp.exe) before you start the game with the modified one. Installing works great from a backup anyway. And only cd1 has any protection. It works for me, so it should work for you... fauole
