PS2 won't play any new DVD copies, but it will play the old ones

But that doesn't explain why it still plays the disks that I wrote MONTHS ago with ZERO problems... Its only the recent DVD burns which I won't play.. CDs play fine BTW.

Also, if I take the same set of disks to a friends, I have exactly the same problem (i.e the old disks play fine, but the new ones don't)..

This seems more in keeping with either dodgy media, or writing problems..

Its not a major problem, as I still have the originals.. But I would like to know whats going on.
