Unhappy change read speed

Trying to read a dvd on an lg16speed. get drive inaccesable file system corrupt error.

Been told Ineed to reduce the read speed so that it can read the lead in track. Any ideas on how I do this?
Can it be done through xp or is there another prog.
I have binned about 4 dvd's because of this

You cannot increase the speed to read faster..Fast is not good.
If you read some posts regarding to Burning games people with beyond 20X burners and etc has hard time booting backups that's usually made from backups..Copy from a Copy..
I'm not saying all but some folks due have that problem..
If you want to increase speed time try Firewire..
Works for me..Without any errors..Reliable..
