did you do a fresh installation? or did you transfer stuff from the old hard drive? If the latter, then it is probably a registry conflict, in which case I recommend reformatting and reinstalling windows, run a defrag after you install each application. Otherwise, run windows update. You might try running ASPI32.EXE, which you can download from roxio.com (adaptec site). 8-)
