help please!

i have problem loading GT3 game.
in many cases it just stack after the 3 first screens (before the first coloured screen).
since it's DVD format game and since the demo disc works fine i was thinking maybe the prob is with the tv connection (?)
my connection is with a EURO-AV connector using the EURO-AV connector plug.

is this happen to anyone else here?

thanks in advance

REPLY: Where is "here"? Could we have more info pls like PS2 model, confirming it's an original full game DVD you are playing, confirming the Region for the DVD; the exact symptoms of failure?

In principle if the Demo works fine, the game will too. AV incompatibilities (which there shouldn't be) would cause degraded pictures but no black screen (but you haven't said there was a black screen). So more info please.

ok , PS2 model is PAL and if too be exact the model is SCPH-30004C.
the game is PAL and this is original DVD.
the prob is the same all the time - 3 first black and white screen (with credits....) appears fine and then a black screen appears.
sometimes but not often the game works fine.
i hope i gave enough details.

Arnon,

I also have an original copy of GT3 (what a game) i have heard from a few chums that they have had the same problem as you, the best and easyiest thing todo is take it back and get a replacement. GT3 was the quickest selling game ever and it seems that they had a few dodgey batches (shit happens), i guess you were one of the unlucky ones.

Anyway get a replacement ASAP, theres no reason for you to have a cacky game when you payed for it!!!

Cheers

Dal

Hi,

but like you say its only sometimes, ild just take it back again say that it sometimes kicks up a fuss and you would like it replaced or they replace your PS2 unit, the thing is you may go so far into the game and its goes wrong again and by that time your warantee has run out the your be right pi**ed off.

Perhaps you should also take your console so that conditions can be exactly reproduced. Sounds like media (possibly sh*t in a small groove) to me because that particular copy is at the centre of the problem, but you can't rule out the PS2 or its laser.

Try washing the DVD in warm soapy water to get any grooved dirt out.

Cheers
