Question Ultimate Backup(or copy) of a cd?? Avoid scrapping cd?

1- Is there an universal method to make a backup or a copy of most of games? Like using clone cd or neroBurningrom, etc. If yes, with wich program(s) and what is the method. Explain it here please. :P ( no answer yet)

2- Is there a way to verefy if an image of a game you juste have created is working before burning it on a cd? To avoid burning it on a cd and when you try it, it doesn't run, so you must put it in the garbage. Another way than burning it on a Cd-Rw. I think i read somewhere we can do a image of a cd and try it before burning it when it is again it your computer but i don't remember where and how and i'm not sur. So if someone can answer at leat one of my question, i would apreciate.
(this question has already an answer: Daemon tool, Thanks to munsterbuster )

Thanks

no. Install it. Then should be a new sign in your line near the clock. Right click on it and on virtual drive (yeah get one free new CD-Drive ) you can mout your image. From then one it is like you have burnt it and you can use with your explorer.

Assuming that you have a good reader/burner use CloneCD with "Game CD" settings.

Here is my personal method:

1. Make sure your burner can read all the info on the disk. I believe the CloneCD site has a good page to check compatibilities of your burner drive.

2. I use CLonyXXL to read the protections on my game. Clony XXL has a button that automatically opens CLoneCD and puts the correct burning settings for you.

3. Create an image of the disk first. Then burn the game using the image you created in CloneCD. I always burn onto a CD-RW disk first to make sure the copy is 1:1.

4. Burn the image onto the final disk.

Maybe this would be usefull to you.
