how to play import game in US console

ok, i knew it been asked alot. but hope someone can help me on this. i have an origanial copy of the jap. we 6. and i thought i can play it in US ps2 by using game shark. but the thing is it didn't work. so i check this site out, but it seems like i can't understand a thing about the patch and playing the back up. can someone in here can tell me that how can i create a boot disk without the modchip in order to play import game? or somethings that i can use to play import game as well(beside the modchip). my ps 2 is the newest model 39001 and the serial # is u5680360
please help me, i really want to play this game, and that's the reason i bought the ps2 in US. any help will be great.
