Need for Speed 5 & Xp Pro problems

I'm trying to run NFS5 on my PC but after the intro it crushes ...Any idea?
It worked fine in win98 se .

800 AMD Cpu
GeForce 2 MX400 64mb
256 DDR Ram

it is known that nfs5 doesn't work well on winxp...

I remember running into this problem myself(funny how of the 5 EA games that came with my comp, only one worked), I think even after trying various fixes posted around the web it still didn't. Though I did delete the b-whatever.dll that people said to for XP(if I remember right), try getting a no-cd fixed exe for it, that helped me actually play it some, though I still ended up crashing at a point on one of the races.
