one other thing to tes it
i always copy on fly (90% time)2x write dvd on fly np both drives on same ide cable
my dvdrom drive is pioneer500m
try writing it on fly copy (use 1x if u not trust dvdrom to read fast enough for 2x
write on fly no copy of image then if u get same error code its nothing to do with file limt size as u not making a file
