Madden 2002 2.31

I have bought Madden 2002, but unfortunately I have recently found that I have lost the original disc. I do have everything loaded on my computer, and recently found about the no-cd fix exe files that were available. I downloaded one for a nother game and that works fine. When I downloaded Madden I replaced the exe file as stated, and when I try to run the program, I get a blank screen for a few seconds, a couple of screen changes and then I am back to my original screen. It look likes it really wants to work, but it isn't working. Did anyone else have this problem?
