N E Word on US Messiah 4 v5/6 yet?

Got too impatient--broke down and bought a no solder mod for my v5 US PS2. Works OK, but a royal pain to use. Any idea on when it's coming, or is there a simple way to mod the installation of a UK chip to work in the US model? There's a lot of DVD games I want, but can't see myself doing that double swap crap!
