put your backup in and switch your machine off.
when you turn it on hold down your power button and it will turn blue (This should take no more than 1 second) when it does let go and your backup should boot straight away no need for the action replay/dvd region x or whatever disc you use for ur ps2 games if this is the starchip then that will work let me know
