SUCESS!!!

Found out the new CDRWIN I had was still in beta--got ver 3.9a and it fuly supports my CD-RW Drive. Goto Goldenhawk.com for the latest released version. Here are the settings:

Click the "copy and Record" Option

Copy to disc first, and USE THE CDRW TO READ THE SOURCE. Older drives (CD-ROM only or DVD-ROM Only) may not read the track 2 infrormation right, and give an error, aborting the process) I adjusted the cache to 16 MB to speed up the read process, it only took about 5 minutes on my machine.

Read RAW SECTORS and MCN/ISRC (This will get the copy protection if it is on there. You can check the other read formats for good measure--they will not affect the PSX games, but may be wanted for VCD or Audio CD duping later. (You can save the settings so you don't have to change them everytime you start CDRWIN)

IGNORE ERROR RECOVERY--This will turn off the drives Error correction and tell CDRWIN not to try to correct read errors (again, more encryption protection)
Leave Jitter and Subcodes set to Auto, if the copies fail to work, you can try again with forcing some of these settings--check the help file for more info on these settings, but should not be necessary on PSX games--only on PS2 CDR, but Clone CD has a default setting that works for them. Set the read speeds to the lowest settings you can and set Read Retries to "0" You may do Ok with 2X or 4X, but it should only take about 5 to 10 minutes to read the image anyway at 1X--not that long anway, unless you got an OLD PC.

Record at the lowest speed allowed, to insure a deep burn (minimize errors, and save your PS2 Laser some undo stress. The unregistered version is going to copy at 1X anyway. The higher read speeds will really benefit with Audio and PC-Game Backups though, so I would reccomend buying it if you don't have Clone CD or other favorite backup utility. Enable Under-Run if your drive supports it, and run test mode if you don't have the CDR's to spare and don't mind waiting an extra 20 Minutes to get the final product. Click start, and go fix a sandwich, when you come back, it will be asking you to put in the CDR media. Sart the burn, and eat your lunch--your backup will be waiting for you when you are done!

The finished product should work with ANY SWAP METHOD! (Even the GS2/AR2 plus knife/credit card/rewired switch methods--just make sure you use a method that stops the CD from spinning before the tray is opened!!)

Good Luck!
