No! that is just your assumption based on the information provided.
If rummors are true and plextor have made deals with macrovision, then the 24/10/40 will not be capable of sd2 or any future macrovision protected release. When you have information from reliable person(s) that this drive is capable, then you can claim its perfect! For now im sticking with Acer.
