What CD-ROM drive to use with Plextor 12/10/32A burner?

I have the aformentioned 12/10/32A ATAPI Plextor drive (I don't know the firmware but I've never updated it and it was purchased just weeks after they hit store shelves so I am guessing 1.0), I understand that it can not read sub-channel data, but it CAN write it. I am about to buy a new CD-ROM drive and was wondering what drive you would suggest to go with my Plextor for writing ISO's for burning.
