GTA3 rip making a lot of noise! help!

Hey People,

I got a question, is GTA3 supposed to make a lot of noise when playing?

My other backups are a little noisy (by noisy, i don't mean loud or grinding noises or anything, just louder that an orig. dvd game).

It seems to be making two noises, one is the disc spinning and changing speed, and the other is a sort of scraping noise, i think the laser.

Is this really bad for the system, does anyone elses do it?

I have a neokey (i know, i need a messiah), are these known for causing laser damage?

Any help or feedback will be greatly appreciated.
