What Mod Chip should I buy

I'm just getting started, I have a NTSC PS2 I believe it is a version 2 the serial starts with U0

so, Is there a way for me to get the current messiah to work? or should I wait?

Is there a comperable mod chip out there that I could use instead?

If anyone one has suggestions as to what to get, and where to get it, please let me know,
