GTA3 Text block error

Have ne1 else got same error as i have when running this game?

All text in both menus and ingame text are messed up, it's all big blocks of unreadable boxes.

This must be some Graphic driver error or sumthing, i've tested to reinstall various hardware and drivers with no luck.

Ne1 out there with the same error, and a possible fix?

My system specs are..

P4 1.8
512mb Rambus
Asus GeForce2 gts Deluxe
Latest nVidia Detonator Drivers
Windows XP
DirectX 8.1
