Moto Racer 3 - Tages
O.K. I bought the game to see if it really is the mother of all copy protection schemes. And it is. What I dont get though is that
1) All information on a cd is either a 1 or 0. 2) All cd writers can write 1's and 0's. 3) I have read before that protections use a glass master to stamp a verication mark on the cd which can be read but not written. However as this mark has to written in binary CloneCD never had too much trouble. According to some posts about Tages it too involves a stamp in the mastering process. So why can Clonecd not copy this protection? It doesn't have any bad sectors like safedisc! It doesn't seem to try and confuse the EMF like Safedisc V2 and it doesn't seem to try and read the ATIP. So my question is ........ How does this protection actually work? Is it possible it can measure the reflectivness of the media? If every single 1 and 0 from the origional is present on the copy I cannot see how it knows its a copy. please help as I'm 10 coasters down and counting !!!!!!
