as for 3:
it will boot with a messiah, but it's unable to play any DVDs that way. you have to double-press reset to activate DVD/PSX mode, which means the region x cdr will no longer boot. it DOES work with an original region x, as that doesn't need the mod functions and will boot even when in psx/dvd mode.
