PS2 PAL and Messiah

How ya goin guys?
I have a great doubt about PS2 PAL and MEssiah modchip. I would like to know if is it true that Messiah works fine in all PS2 PAL version (Japanese COnsole). I would like to chip my PS2 with Messiah but my console is US version3 so I forgot about it... but I now I have the chance to exchange for a Japanese Console... I don't know what to do.... let me know about it please.... what i have to do if I get Japanese console and messiah mod don't work? Wich one is best option: I get the japanese console and chip with a Origa modchip or keep my US Version 3 and chip with NEO4 modchip?
