DVD To VCD Help

Hi all, this is my 1st post Okay here goes: I have a Concert On DVD and would like to back it up to VCD but when i rip the vob files and use "dvd2avi version 1.76" I always get a large file (too large for a single 80 min cdr).

Information You Might Need To Know:

1. Picture Format = PAL 4:3
2. Concert Duration = 88 mins
----------

What I would like to know is:

1. Can I use Any Settings To Make The File Small Enough To Fit On A Single 80 min CDR Even If It Means Losing A Little Quality ?

2. Are There Any Charts Online That Will Tell Me The Best Method To Use With Certain DVD Duration?
----------

Any Help Greatly Appreciated, Thx In Advance

P.S. I have tried countless online guides with no avail
