Virgin Copier!

Trying to "back-up" an original of The Sims. Have downloaded a fix, copying the original CD to Temp and running the patch. Instruction then say to burn Data1 and lable it with The_sims. Sadly I have no idea how to do this or really what it means. Can you help?
