I'll tell ya what I know from my experience.
You cannot flat out burn the CD. Doesn't work. Somehow the copyright stuff just ends up ruining your cd-r.
What you need to do is copy the data off the game cd and compile a new cd using that data. This will give you a cd you can install with and crap like that, but you won't be able to play it yet. It will check to make sure you have the original cd and sure enough it will know you don't have it.
So the next thing you have to do is get a crack for it.
Where you get one of those, I'm not sure. You'll just have to search the net.
