... and swap AR2/1.7 or 1.9 for a high TOC DVD then swap for a DVD-R. In principle yes. I don't know the sensitivity on the dongle because once you reset it with all those buttons pressed, you don't want v2.x re-initialising itself.
I can sya this, however, that DVD Region X will boot AR2/1.7 and once you've got the dongle into a state of grace with 1.7 I wouldn't use 2.x again. Others closer to the details might hopefully respond too.
