Operation Flashpoint and Game Degradation....

Hey everyone,

I noticed during startup of Operation Flashpoint that it says game performance will degrade if you use a cd other than the original. Is this referring to the "FADE" I've read so much about and if so what exactly is it.

I'm probably going to get laughed at but how long do I need to play before I notice this game degradation..... (I can't stay alive more than 5 minutes....haha)???? Thanks for the help in advance.
