Operation Flashpoint Lock up problems

but recently everytime i play after a while the game locks up and unlocks for a couple seconds ever so often.im not sure but im guessing that its the freakin FADE coming into action.i tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it but it just happened right away anyways.by the way i have version 1.20.
is there anyway to deactivate the FADE???????????????

Are you saying you have the original CDs and are having lockup problems? If not, then if its the 'FADE' issue, you will get a message saying "Original Games don't Fade".

A friend's machine pauses/locks up tight for several seconds, due to hard disk activity. I noticed this only during multiplayer however. It is very occasional, but consistent ( If that makes sense )
