Disciples - Sacred Lands HELP!

My Disciples CD has recently obtained a scratch on in which is making it pause alot during game play and rendered a few of the mission briefings very difficult to read. I've managed to recover the contents of the cd and placed them on my hard drive, but I can't get it to stop using the disc. Is there a program out there somewhere that will get rid of it's need for the cd?
