****Read if you want to burn AOE2 with CD Clone****

I have finally made a 1:1 copy of AOE2 using Cd Clone Version 2.8.4.3. I am using a TEAC 512EB burner and I use it to read AND burn the images from CD Clone.

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLOWING:

**************************************** If your burner does NOT support RAW DAO or RAW SAO + SUB reading AND writing, you will NOT be able to use CD Clone to burn a working copy of ANY games that use Safedisk 1 or 2 without the use of a crack.************************************

If you are not sure if your burner supports this method of reading/writing, you can launch CD Clone and click the CD Copy Button, then on the next screen, click the "write" tab at the top, under "write mode" you will be able to select "RAW DAO" or "RAW SAO + SUB" if your burner is compatable. If you don't have one of these 2 options, you will just have to settle for a cracked version of AOE 2.

I used the "SAO+SUB" method and set my write speed to 8X and checked the "burn proof" and "always close last session" boxes.

I set my read speed to 8X and checked the "fast error skip" and "don't report read error" boxes. While on the "read" tab, click the little hand w/ the pointed finger icon and set your read "retries" to 5 and "error correction" to none.

Thats it! I have successful burns every time with "safedisk 1 and 2 protections".
