microsoft combat simulator 2 back-up

hey guys i want to back-up my combat flight sim 2 but have it a true backup where i can get updats and stuff. what is the best thing to do for that i have adepect esay cd creator and had trouble backing up my diablo 2 please help me out here
i was going to put the game on the drive completly but i am not sure if i can still get updats with a nocd patch..
