game GTA activation

Hi there,

I just found out that, for me, activation in GTA 4 is not possible....

OK, to tell you the story: I bought the game (yes, really...) and because I only had internet on my laptop and not on my normal PC where the game is, i had to use the offline activation function.

I followed the steps, entered all three codes for activation and the program told me, my game is activated....

....so far so good, but when i launch the game, it still tries to verify its release date (?) which is not possible because there is no internet connection on that pc.

Now I thought OK, lets try the manual activation again...I clicked it and...nothing happens....thats my problem right now, I cannot launch the offlineactivation.exe anymore, even after reinstalling the game, which still says it needs to be activated.

Of course there was no response so far by the support team. Now I have to wait for and rely on ways to bypass the registration to LEGALLY play a game I paid money for. -.-

Any Ideas?
