NERO MAKES COASTERS, BUT I DO IT AS YOU SEZ...!!!

I am using Nero 5.5.0.4 and am trying to backup 'Italian Job' psx game. I read all the instructions, take it all in, and do it just as they say, but I have enough coasters to hang on the tree! I now read there is a patch? but is this for the pal/ntsc bit? or is is needed to alter the files of the game when on my HD? YES, I am a newbie, but I do realize that some games need a bit more work on them to get them to work. But is this work on the game, the Nero ticks in boxes or a bit of both? so many questions and no one reading this with the patience to answer?!!! who knows. PLEASE help me , just once, I need instructions how to backup just 1 awkward game - then I may feel compelled to do some more! Hell, I could even start a business! PLEASE ANSWER..ANYBODY?
