X-men 2 patch problems

I have tried to back up X-men:ma2. I have burned it and the screen rolls. I am assuming it is PAL, however I am in the US which means it needs to be NTSC. I have tried the pal4u patch at megagames and it doesn't work for me. I keep getting errors and pal4u2k tells me that the image and the patch aren't from the same source. Unless this is a common message, does anyone else have this problem? Are there any other patches out there, or do I need to just hang it up? Thanks in advance for responding!
